With these two thoughts in mind, I must say that it has been a long haul over the years to pursue my ideals concerning my goats, wares and lifestyle. I am thankful to have been able to work from my home, to be able to have a profession that I love and enjoy. Even though there are always negative factors, unspeakable challenges and desperate moments of discouragement, there are, on the other side, wonderful moments of victory and the encouraging joy of success that keep you centered. Creating a 'niche' and holding on to it has been one of life's indispensable lessons. It has been difficult, but something I would not trade for anything else. We have lived simply, but fully. These animals have provided a more complete view of reality. And, we have always gotten through. When I could not afford to advertise, word of mouth advertising was even better. When I could not seek out or purchase new breeding stock from Texas or elsewhere, my little herd depended on mercy and a blessing from the 'rock that is higher than I'.
